Andrew Fifita was loud and enthusiastic, as he usually is around training, in what was his first training session back following an extended pre-season break, while the rest of the Sharks squad blew away a few cobwebs with an energetic scrimmage session opposed to the NYC squad last Saturday.

Todd Carney and Jeff Robson called most of the plays, with the new boys including Blake Ayshford, Matt Prior, Daniel Holdsworth and Eric Grothe Jnr continuing to familiarise themselves with the plays and systems at the Sharks as well as with their new teammates.

It was a positive session on a warm and sunny Saturday at Remondis Stadium and another step along the way in preparing for the trial matches, the upcoming Auckland Nines and the start of season proper to follow.

An ourfootyteam.com camera was on hand to capture some of the action and provided a series of pics for a photo gallery.
