As Wade Graham succinctly put it, him and a number of his teammates were only too happy to take a little bit of time out of their day on Tuesday to put some smiles on the faces of kids doing it tough during what should be a festive time of the year.

Graham, Anthony Tupou and Todd Carney, along with club ambassador Ben Ross and young Shark Anthony Moraitis attended the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick where they handed out toys, visited the Starlight Room and tried to cheer up those youngsters who could be facing a Christmas time in a hospital room.

At Sutherland Hospital Michael Gordon, Chris Heighington, Tupou Sopoaga and Valentine Holmes were four Sharks who dropped by a number of the wards with posters and presents.

The Sharks also used the afternoon as an opportunity to venture to Kirrawee to Mikarie Child Care Centre at Sylvanvale Disability Services for a Christmas visit where they again handed out gifts, signed autographs and mingled with children and centre clients.

Nathan Gardner, Tim Robinson, Blake Ayshford and Nu Brown went along to the Mikarie Centre.

NRL.com was at the Sydney Children’s Hospital where they spoke with Graham and Carney about the visit, while a Sharks.com.au camera caught some of what went on at the other two venues. NRL.com have put together a video presentation, which is now playing on Sharks TV.
