2020 AGM Details
The Sharks can inform members of the Cronulla Sutherland Leagues Club Limited and the Cronulla-Sutherland District Rugby League Club Limited, that the 63rd Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) will go ahead as scheduled on Monday, March 30.
The meetings however cannot be held in person because of COVIT-19 restrictions on gatherings. The meetings instead will be held by way of ZOOM video conferencing technology.
The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (“ASIC”) have recognised that Coronavirus (COVID-19) is impacting on companies’ ability to hold AGMs by way of a gathering of members in person. On March 20, 2020, ASIC issued guidelines which support the holding by companies of AGMs by virtual meeting to ensure compliance with COVID-19 gathering restrictions.
The Leagues Club AGM will commence at 7.00pm, with the Football Club component immediately following.
Whilst the AGM is primarily administrative, to ensure continuation of best corporate governance practices, in a bid for business continuity and to ensure normality in the business despite the challenges currently facing the community, it was felt it was in the best interests to convene and conduct the meetings as planned.
As ZOOM video conferencing will be used for the AGMs to provide a reasonable opportunity for members, the Sharks require RSVP’s from those members wishing to attend. Such RSVP’s will need to be lodged with Sharks prior to 12 noon on Monday, March 30.
Following receipt of those RSVP’s and well in advance of the meeting getting underway, ZOOM log in information and instruction will be provided directly to each attendee.
Members wishing to join the meetings should email their RSVP, containing first name, surname, member number and an email address and/or phone number, to [email protected].
The meetings will follow the agendas and guidelines as outlined in previous correspondence, which is contained in the Notices of AGM (link below). Agendas for both meetings are included in those documents.

Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta will conduct the AGMs. Chairman Steve Mace, the Board of Directors, club auditors and legal representatives will also be present via video link.
