The playing surface at Southern Cross Group Stadium is a picture, the signage is in place and everything is in readiness for the kick off to the Women’s Rugby League World Cup this Thursday.

Just three days remain until the tournament gets underway with an opening ceremony, then the first match of the World Cup between New Zealand and Canada kicking off at 1.45pm.

All pool matches and semi-finals will be contested at the home of the Sharks, Southern Cross Group Stadium, with Australia to face the Cool Islands on Thursday, England on Saturday and Canada the following Wednesday, before the finals take place on Sunday, November 26.

England play Papua New Guinea in a triple-header in the third game on the opening day.

The excitement is building, preparations for both the teams involved and the event organisers are coming to an end and all is left is for the action to get underway.

Below is the Women’s World Cup draw and ticketing information for those interested in seeing the very best Women’s rugby league players in action. Tickets will also be available at the stadium on game day.

Four Sharks will be a part of the World Cup, including Jillaroos co-captain Ruan Sims and teammates Corban McGregor and Talesha Quinn, along with Nita Maynard playing for New Zealand. Sharks Women’s Series Head Coach Jason Stanton has been recruited by the Silver Ferns as a New Zealand Assistant coach.
