The new recruits – Scott Sorensen

Local junior Scott Sorensen made his NRL debut during what was a tumultuous season at the Sharks in 2014.

Having played through the junior rep ranks and the NYC with the Sharks, Sorensen was one of a number of players thrust into the NRL side due to a mounting injury toll in a difficult year for the club.

While it may have been a season to forget, it was also a year which built plenty of character into many of the young players at the Club, Sorensen included.

From the Sharks, he joined Souths before switching to Canberra, where Sorensen played a leading role at the Raiders Intrust Super Premiership feeder-club Mounties, while also running out for two NRL games for the ‘Green Machine’ in 2017.

But the call to return home, and to potentially play alongside brother-in-law Chad Townsend, was too difficult to resist, with the powerfully built back rower ready to put his best foot forward in 2018.

Just five days into his pre-season training preparations Sorensen took time out to talk with Sharks Media. See what he had to say, now playing on Sharks TV.
