In 2016, Sosaia Feki truly game of age as a first grade NRL player however it was his consistency that took his game to a new level in 2017.

Scoring the most tries for the Sharks in season 2017 wasn’t his only achievement, with the Mount Roskill junior leading his side in line breaks with 15.

In the modern game, an outside back must do more than simply score tries.

As nice as this is and as much as the fans love it, what truly gets a team moving forward is the start to sets.

Enter Sosaia Feki.

Feki’s natural strength enables him to run the ball back on tackle one, two or three to good effect, getting his side on numerous occasions. In the process, getting through the line of 15 occasions.

While not all of these line breaks or runs for that matter resulted in tries for the winger, the impact they had on the team’s momentum is invaluable. In a game where every team is looking to gain an edge in any small form they can, it is these players at the back who enable that to happen.

Unlucky to not have made the Kiwi or Tongan Rugby League World Cup squads, expect to see a refreshed Sosaia Feki flying come Round 1 of the 2018 season.

We know we’re looking forward to it!
