The Rumble returns!

Paul Gallen will return to box at the Sharks Leagues Club in what is set to be a HUGE night of boxing action.

The Sharks skipper will be taking on Puna Rasaubale, a former Cronulla Sharks lower grades rugby league player who has been eager to meet Gallen in the ring.

Following his victorious display in last year’s Rumble at Southern Cross Group Stadium, Gallen is hoping for a similar showing when he steps into the ring in the more intimate setting of the Sharks Leagues Club Showroom.

“I’m really excited about this fight,” said Gallen.

“I’ve always looked forward to boxing as it really motivates me for the NRL season ahead. The fitness I gain and the mental pressure boxing puts me through is great and I really hope I can take that advantage into the 2018 season.

“I’ve had a month off to get my body right and that’s been good however I’m really looking forward to getting back into my training and getting as fit as I can.”

Professional fights on the night will also be something not to be missed, with one to watch out for being the WBA Lightweight Oceania Interim Title fight between Kyle McKenzie and North Beauchamp.

The Ultimate Footy Fight Night will once again return, with a series of local Junior Rugby League teams from around the Cronulla-Sutherland Shire doing battle for a $5,000 cash prize.

“The Footy Fight Night is great too as it puts Club’s which already have an existing rivalry in the ring against each other.

“If you include the $5,000 cash prize, then it becomes a hotly contested night. The support we received from the Club’s last year was great so we’ll be hoping for much the same of that come November 10.”
