Women's World Cup Clinic

Sharks Media

The excitement for the Rugby League Women’s World Cup 2017 is building around the Shire!

And this was on show on Thursday as 50 young girls attended the Women’s World Cup Clinic at Southern Cross Group Stadium.

With a handful of current Jillaroos players on hand such as Ruan Sims, Jess Sergis, Talesha Quinn and Corban McGregor, the young girls were given the chance to rub shoulders with stars of the women’s game.

Cronulla Sharks Women’s Series players Shontelle Stowers and Kate Mulally were also in attendance.

With some girls travelling from as far as Narooma, our stars of tomorrow were put through their paces by the women players and also had the chance to hear each individual story of how the girls made it to where they are in the women’s game today.

The young girls also participated in skills and drills to cover all aspects of rugby league, which also included a tackle drill to end the clinic!

With all games in the Women’s World Cup, excluding the Final, to be held at Southern Cross Group Stadium on November 16, 19 and 22, the Clinic offered these young girls the chance to experience the best in Women’s rugby league before they take to the field.

Don’t miss out on your chance to see the best Women rugby league players in the world on show right here in the Shire. Get your tickets today!
