No better sight in the game

Sharks Media

His career may only span between 2014-2017 however Valentine Holmes has achieved almost all there is to achieve in the game.

Following premiership success in 2016, then a Kangaroos debut that same year into scoring a hat-trick to help Queensland snatch a likely NSW State of Origin victory in 2017, Holmes has enjoyed something of 'blessed' run in the game.

The one arena he is yet to test himself in though is the Rugby League World Cup. The tournament, to be held across October to Novemver will offer the young Sharks fullback the perfect opportunity to take this opportunity with both hands.

With the likes of Billy Slater, Josh Dugan and Tom Trbojevic all vying for the open fullback position along with a wealth of talent in the squad able to play on the wing, Holmes will have his work cut out for him.

However, Holmes is a player who steps up to the big occasions.

His three tries in Game III of this year's Origin decider is testament to that.

Wherever Holmes plays, the Sharks faithful will be cheering their man on.

For we all know that there are not many better sights in rugby league than a Valentine Holmes in full-flight.
