NRL Finals time is upon us and you can sense it in the air.

In 2016, the Shire was a buzz with black, white and blue with people buying into the belief that indeed the Cronulla Sharks could create history.

And on the eve of his side's first Final of 2017, Shane Flanagan wants that belief back here in the Shire.

He wants to see the community together as one, behind his side willing them onto victory this Finals Series.

And with with the Club doing all they can to get people to the Elimination Final on Sunday, Flanagan said he hopes to see the stadium packed with Sharks fans.

"We hope so," said Flanagan.

"We've put buses on for all our supporters for this. Last year we had 20 buses go out for the Grand Final Qualifier and it would be lovely if we could get near that total and it does make a difference to the players.

Flanagan was quick to praise the support of the Sharks faithful, credting them for playing a major part in getting his side over the line in not only their Preliminary Final against the Cowboys last year however many of their matches at Allianz Stadium over the years.

"The support is amazing. We were re-capping and doing a bit of video this week on the Cowboys game (Preliminary Final, 2016) and just looking into the Allianz stands, there was just black, white and blue supporters right across there and there was a magic feeling.

"I remember when James Maloney took that intercept and that probably put the game to bed then and it was an amazing feeling.

"Going back and re-calling those type of things, Paul Gallen said it was the most lop-sidded crowed he'd even seen, probably a week later at the Grand Final topped that but it was definately a great atmosphere and hopefully we can get all the supporters there this weekend.

"If we're going to play anywhere else, that's where we want to play. We've had great experiences there over the last couple of years and we've played a lot of semi-finals going back three or four years so it's a good place for us, we've got good memories there so it's a home away from home for us.

With the stage set for your Cronulla Sharks to either progress to Week 2 of the 2017 NRL Finals Series or taking an early exit, now is the time that your team needs it's fans.
