The Sharks have been involved in many epic on-field battles over the past 50 years, some won, others lost.
Memorable games against traditional rivals, interstate opposition and some of the champion teams of the time, matches in the NRL, before that the ARL, in Super League and the First Grade NSWRL competition.
In continuing the club’s half century celebrations, over the next seven weeks we will unveil some of those games from era’s gone by, with Heritage Series matches to be shown on the Sharks website.
Sharks games from the past, matches to remind us of the great Cronulla players and the more notable contests, all shown in their entirety, commentary of the day included, for members and fans to reminisce and enjoy.
The Heritage Series games will begin this week with a ‘blast from the past’ clash against the South Sydney Rabbitohs, with the subsequent weeks to feature matches coinciding with the Sharks 2017 opponents for that particular round.
Heritage games to be shown against the Warriors, Raiders, Broncos and Cowboys, the Roosters and Knights over the final two rounds.
