Sharks fans can brace themselves for another exciting evening of Rugby League this Saturday the 22nd of April, as the Cronulla Sharks prepare to take on the Gold Coast Titans at Southern Cross Group Stadium (SCGS).

Commemorating ANZAC Day Round, fans and players will come together on the night to remember those who made sacrifices and fought for a free and peaceful Australia.

ANZAC Round is an opportunity for the game to commemorate the sacrifices made by service men and women and highlight the contributions the Rugby League family has made to the military over time.

The Cronulla Sharks welcome RSL NSW as our game day community partner, and all current members of the Australian Defence Force may attend the Round 8 match free of charge by showing their Defence ID at either entry points of Southern Cross Group Stadium.

SCGS will open its gates at 4:30pm, before the NYC Sharks and Titans go head to head at 4:35pm. The clash is bound to be exciting, with the young Sharks hungry for a win after drawing 30 – 30 with the Panthers last weekend.

Cronulla’s Jillaroo-studded Women’s Series side will then take to the field at 6:15pm. The fierce Sharks outfit will be looking for redemption after an upset loss to the Newcastle Knights in their last start.

Pre-game entertainment will kick off at 6:40pm, hosted by Cronulla’s much-loved MC, Dane Wheeler. Spectators can look forward to some exciting Junior Rugby League and a dazzling new dance performance by the 67 Kids Crew.

The stadium will come alive with an inflatable obstacle course, the Sharks slide and face painting. Spectators can also expect an atmosphere buzzing with drummers, DJs, Sharks mascots and Cronulla Sharks Mermaids performances.

Both NRL sides will enter side by side for an ANZAC Ceremony before the game gets underway at 7:30pm. The Anzac Day ode will be read by Brad Copelin, RSL Defence care ambassador, Able Seaman Phil O’Neill will play the Last Post, which will be followed by a Moment’s Silence and then the Rouse. The National Anthems of New Zealand and Australia will be performed by Defence Force musician, Able Seaman Leigh Robkey, and supported by the Australian Navy band.

As usual, an eclectic and delicious range of food options will be camped around SCGS to satisfy your every craving. Expect Howling Forest coffee, Berlin Bangers, Street Sliders, a Caminito sausage sizzle, Cheesee Toasties, pizza, ice cream, kiosks and more!

At half time, spectators can kick back and enjoy another exquisite performance by the Mermaids and more Junior Rugby League. It wouldn’t be a Sharks game day without a good sing-a-long… so fans can look forward to belting out another classic hit this Saturday night.

Once the full time whistle has been blown, kids can hit the field and soak up the Game Day atmosphere.

The fun will continue late into the night, with live entertainment taking place in the Cronulla Sharks Leagues Club’s Steve Rogers Lounge from 9:15pm.  Sharks fans are also invited to attend a post-match presentation in the Leagues Club’s Auditorium.
