After being bundled of the 2016 Intrust Super Premiership by Illawarra in an epic encounter last year the Newtown Jets will be out to extract some sort of revenge when they tackle the defending premiers at WIN Stadium tomorrow.
The Jets let slip a winning opportunity last time around and while team lists for both clubs read very differently to the sides that staged such a ferocious showdown in the pouring rain in the thrilling preliminary final, the intensity will remain high.
Both teams have won one ISP NSW game this season and lost one, and they will be extra keen to take the two points on offer.
Again a strong contingent of Sharks will turn out for the Jets, however whether Tony Williams and Fa’amanu Brown play for Newtown will depend on their status with the Sharks NRL squad and likely be determined at their final training session in the morning.
