In the lead up to the Sharks’ season-opening extravaganza against the Broncos, Sharks Fans can look forward to an action-packed night both on and off the field at Southern Cross Group Stadium on Thursday, March 2.

Gates will open at 5:30pm to welcome fans as the Sharks’ fierce NYC side prepares for a 5:50pm kick off.

Pre-game entertainment starts up at 7:20pm, with our Game Day Community Partner, Junior Rugby League, showcasing two under 9’s display games. MCs Matt de Groot and Dane Wheeler will then hit the field to get the party started at Southern Cross Group Stadium.

In 2017, Sharks game days will be all about fan engagement!

In an exciting Club first, Sharks fans can expect action switch between both the field and the stands. Spectators will now be completely immersed in our pre-game entertainment through live crowd interviews, ‘Dance Cam’ and much, much more!

Voted number one for game day experience in 2016, the Cronulla Sharks are once again upping the ante. Fans can expect an inflatable obstacle course, 6-in-1 castle, sharks slide, DJs, drummers and aerial fireworks from the golf course. Fans can also take a photo with the 2016 NRL Premiership Trophy at a pop-up photo station residing behind the big screen.

While our men in black, white and blue warm up, the Sharks’ favourite Pre-Game Footy Show will kick off with hosts Rob Willis and Ryan Selvage. Sharks immortal, Andrew Ettingshausen (ET), will also be interviewed live in front of the crowd and the Cronulla Sharks Mermaids will then sparkle to inspire the Sharks’ first guard of honour for the 2017 NRL season.

As the Sharks and Broncos hit the sheds to talk tactics, fans can expect a half time break packed with entertainment. Junior Rugby League will shine one again, as four under 8’s teams go battle two display matches.

The Mermaids and 67 Kids Dance Crew will then raise the roof, as both groups perform outstanding and brand new routines. After Rob and Ryan talk us through the first half action, Sharks fans can brace themselves for interviews, dancing and sing-along!

A bundle of finger-licking food options will be available, including Howling Forest (coffee), Berlin Bangers (German sausages), Street Sliders (burgers), Caminito (sausage sizzle) Cheesee Toastees, Pizza Trailer, Ice Cream and stadium kiosks.

Once the full time whistle has been blown, fans can expect post-match interviews with key players and a round of ‘Shark Kick’.

There’s plenty to look forward to when the Sharks battle the Broncos at Southern Cross Group Stadium on Thursday night. Be there as our boys begin their campaign to win back to back NRL Telstra Premierships in 2017!
