He’s captained his Club to an NRL Premiership, and the Blues to a State of Origin series win. Now, Sharks leader Paul Gallen says it’s time to conquer the world.

With the RLF – alongside the Super League and the NRL confirming the Club’s place in the 2017 Dacia World Club Series to be held in Wigan next February – Gallen says he’s looking forward to what promises to be an historical occasion for all involved.

“To be a part of the first Sharks team to win a Premiership was amazing, and to now have the chance to play for the title of World Champions, it’s something pretty special,” Gallen told sharks.com.au of the announcement.

“I know it’s something that was spoken of after our Grand Final win, heading over to England and playing in a match for another trophy. Now, to have the finer details finalised, it really gives us something to look forward to.”

Gallen and the Sharks will take on the 2016 Super League Champions, Wigan Warriors, at the DW Stadium on February 19.
