Sharks skipper Paul Gallen and NSW and Australian Women’s Captain Ruan Sims visited five local primary schools today in showing off two very significant trophies.

The pair dropped by Gymea Bay, Burraneer Bay, Woolooware, Sylvania Heights and Oyster Bay primary schools, taking with them the NRL Premiership and the Women’s State of Origin trophies as pupils, teaches and a contingent of parents embracing their visit and keeping the celebrations rolling along for just a little while longer.

The five schools were selected by Sharks ARL Development as a reward for their participation in the weekly PSSA rugby league competition in 2016.

As a part of their appearance Gallen and Sims spoke about their respective experiences this season, with the Sharks claiming their maiden NRL title and the NSW Women capturing the Origin trophy for the first time in 17 years.

There was plenty of excitement on show at each and every school, with a couple breaking out into rousing renditions of the Sharks ‘Up, Up, Cronulla’ victory song.

Both Gallen and Sims spoke from the playground at Woolooware Primary, with their interviews and some vision from the school visits now playing on Sharks TV.
