Head Coach Shane Flanagan knows his team

He’s gained an understanding of what makes them tick and what makes them stall.

Judging by his side’s attitude heading into Sunday’s Grand Final, he knows his side are in a good head space.

“I’m really excited about it (Grand Final),” said Flanagan.

“I think all the boys are using it as positive energy and are not anxious or nervous at the moment.”

Flanagan said he is pleased with his side’s preparation for the match and haven’t let the excitement of the week get to them.

“We trained this morning and obviously you know, there’s a bit of excitement today and tonight.

“I haven’t seen anything today but there’s definitely a buzz carrying on from the fan day.

“There was a heap at the fan day and it was great and I suppose the boys got a sense of what’s going to come over the next couple of days especially come game day.”

From here, Flanagan said the Storm deserved their favouritism title ahead of Sunday’s match as they’ve been one of the strongest Club’s in 2016.

“For me, when we used to talk about Clubs two years ago, where we wanted to be as a Club, Melbourne Storm were one of the Clubs we looked at.

“I know the way Craig (Bellamy) operates and for me, they’ve been the most consistent year after year.

“They’ve had some competitions taken off them but that doesn’t take away from the football team they put out on the park.”

Sunday’s match is set to be a blockbuster and the intrigue between both sides will no doubt, continue to build.
