Sharks winger Valentine Holmes spoke with the media on Wednesday as the side's attentions turned to this Saturday night's clash with the Roosters at Southern Cross Group Stadium.

Heading into the match on the back of three consecutive defeats, Holmes said all hope was not lost, and that confidence within the second-placed Sharks remains high.

"We're definitely still confident in each other, in the team and in the coaching staff," Holmes said.

"Obviously we had the few losses and a draw, that's always going to knock your confidence around a bit.

"It's just how we turn it around this week, and how prepare off the short turnaround against the Roosters.

"I'm sure we can get back in the winner's circle."
