The first local derby clash between women’s teams representing the Sharks and Dragons takes place at Southern Cross Group Stadium on Saturday night with a Nines match scheduled as a curtain-raiser to the NRL game against the Roosters.

With a team featuring a number of players who recently represented both NSW and the Australian Jillaroos, a high quality contest of Women’s Nines rugby league is assured against an equally impressive St George Illawarra line up.

The Sharks have been training under the guidance of highly credentialed coach Jason Stanton, with the game set to be an exciting spectacle.

The Women’s Nines will get underway at 6.30pm following the Sharks v Roosters NYC match and prior to the start of the NRL game.

Details of a live stream of the game will follow later in the week.
