Sharks Captain Paul Gallen has weighed in on the debate around players cited by the NRL judiciary, saying the game has set a dangerous precedent that may not be able to be overturned.
"Personally I think, a lot of the time that they do judge the outcome," Gallen told Sky Sports Radio's 'Big Sports Breakfast' on Tuesday.
"I think (James) was a little bit lucky to get away with a grade two.
"For me it all comes back to what they did with Martin Taupau on Jack Bird (Round 3). He hit Bird across the head when he was on the ground, without the ball, and knocked him out cold.
"I've got no concerns that the Titans are going in and fighting (the charge) ... I've got nothing against Taupau, he's a great player. But that was near a send-off."
