Coming off a last start win over the Knights in Round 20, John Morris' NYC Sharks will fancy their chances of making it back-to-back successes, when travelling to take on the Gold Coast Titans on Monday.

With the scores locked at 18-all for much of the second half, a late four-pointer within earshot of the final siren was enough to see the Sharks 20s take the win over the Knights, consolidating their place in the competition's top 8.

"We spoke about winning it in the last ten minutes, and we did that," Morris said.

"I'm proud of that, we stayed in the game long enough, and we got Newcastle to crack in the 75th minute.

"It certainly wasn't pretty, and it probably won't be enough to get the job done against a good Titans side."

Though the 11th-placed Titans 20s haven't set the competition alight this season, Morris is expecting another tough assessment for his men on Monday night, so if the pair's last encounter in Round 6 this season is anything to go by.

"They're a red-hot attacking side in my opinion, we need to be on our game (in defence)," Morris said.

"We had a really good game against them (at home) earlier in the season ... we only won it right at the death.

"They're a tough opponent, and they're really good at home ... and they're in some form, we know we're in for a big game."

With a win, the Sharks can leap-frog the 6th-placed Tigers, and move to within two points of the NYC top four.
