Paul Gallen officially announced this year would be his last in the State of Origin arena, regardless of whether he goes around again for the Sharks in 2017.

The sporting media also covered off on the Sharks win over the Storm last Monday night, while the NYC Sharks received a mention for their miraculous come-from-behind win in a match where they trailed by as much as 28 points.

In player news Wade Graham is happy to hand the captaincy back to Paul Gallen, while there are whispers Ben Barba is being considered for the vacant Queensland No 1 jersey in the absence of Billy Slater.

Coach Shane Flanagan also touched on the ugly tripping incident involving Storm winger Marika Koroibete and our own Chad Townsend, before covering off on his teams’ clash with the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
