We already know the Sharks home opener will see them host the St George Illawarra Dragons on a Sunday afternoon in round 2 of the 2016 NRL Telstra Premiership, but what of the other 25 rounds.
Who would we like to see visit Shark Park and tackle us on home turf next season?
In 2015 the Sharks claimed a number of high profile scalps at home, Souths, the Roosters and Dragons amongst them, while a 30-18 victory over the eventual premiers the North Queensland Cowboys was one of the highlights of the season.
The boys also did battle away from the familiar surrounds of Shark Park as they travelled far and wide, with successful trips to New Zealand, Townsville and the Gold Coast.
Another victory against the Cowboys, this one coming back from an 18-point deficit in round 16 was a standout performance, with Sharks coach Shane Flanagan sure to be intent on racking up more significant victories on the road in 2016.
With the complexities of the NRL draw teams aren’t guaranteed to meet twice in a season, so exactly who will we face at Shark Park next year? Which teams will they be forced to take on in enemy territory and how many sunny Sunday afternoons in the Shire will the draw afford the Sharks when the new season schedule is revealed.
It’s won’t be long now, with the 2016 NRL Draw announcement imminent. Hopefully who, where and when the Sharks will play next season will be made known in the coming days.
