The Cronulla Sharks have secured the services of another former Ipswich Jet, this time coming in the form of backrower Kurt Capewell.

Formerly a centre, Capewell switched to the forward pack midway through the 2015 season where he enjoyed a run of form playing as an edge back rower in the Jets’ expansive game.

Capewell featured heavily in a Jets side brimming with talent, starting in the QRL Intrust Super Cup Grand Final and the State Championship Match the following week.

Known for his size, speed and quality footwork, Capewell will be looking to test himself against the backrowers already established at the Cronulla Sharks such as Monty Porter Medal winner Wade Graham, Luke Lewis and Jayson Bukuya.

Capewell will join fellow former Jets teammate five-eighth Josh Cleeland who also recently put pen to paper with the Sharks.

We welcome Kurt to the Club and wish him all the best for the 2016 season.
