While the Sharks may have fallen two weeks shy of the big one, Grand Final Day still promises to be a special occasion with the two in-form teams of the NRL set to face off for Premiership glory this Sunday.
Johnathan Thurston and his Cowboys, attempting to take down Wayne Bennett’s Broncos, is an eagerly anticipated match-up and a game which has the potential to go down as one of the great Grand Finals of the modern era.
And what better place to watch the NRL’s showpiece event than at Sharkies, with multiple big screens showing all the action, activities for the kids including a jumping castle and entertainment all through the day.
Add to all that the Oktoberfest promotion which starts at 12noon, featuring German beer in steins and an array of German food, means that if you’re not at the game, Sharkies is the only place to be on Sunday.
The Rugby League action kicks off with the first game live from 1pm, with the Summertime Bar, especially with a sunny Sunday predicted, the best venue to beat the heat while at the same time letting the kids enjoy the freedom the outdoor area provides.
As well as the multiple big screens in the Summertime Bar, the Locker Room will also be set up ready to cater for footy followers, with televisions in the main bar tuned into the action live from ANZ Stadium.
In another feature of Grand Final Day at Sharkies, kids meals are free for lunch or dinner every adult meal purchased at the Bay Bistro.
The NYC Under-20’s Grand Final is at 1pm, the NSW Cup champions the Newcastle Knights v the Ipswich Jets from the Queensland Cup playing for the national title is scheduled for 3.45pm, followed by the 2015 NRL Grand Final, Brisbane v North Queensland kicking off at 7.15pm.
Oktoberfest begins at Sharkies at 12 noon and runs throughout the day.
