Darling Harbour in Sydney will be the venue over the next three days for NRL Nation at what is Rugby League’s biggest free family fun zone.

Beginning Thursday afternoon and running through until Saturday, NRL Nation will feature the two competing Grand Final teams tomorrow, an appearance by Sharks Sam Tagataese and Anthony Tupou from 12 noon until 2.00pm on Friday and a variety of unique interactive experiences.

The players will spend time at a signing zone and at the kids area during their visit.

There will be also meet and greet opportunities with current players and legends from every NRL club, children’s entertainment, a daily mascot parade and Marvel movie nights, in addition to skills tests, a change-room experience and fitness classes led by NRL Ambassador and former Raiders player Alan Tongue.

Sharks membership staff will also be on site, providing all the relevant membership information, with those signing on as 2016 members in line to win a variety of special prizes.

NRL Nation opens at 4pm on Thursday, October 1, with an appearance from the Broncos and Cowboys at 5pm, with the two teams to be joined by iconic Australian band Cold Chisel who are performing a special pre-game concert at the Grand Final.

“NRL Nation is the largest free interactive centre ever established for our fans,” NRL Head of Football Todd Greenberg said.

“The fans and players are what make our game so great. The engagement centre at Darling Harbour, part of Grand Final Week celebrations, is a Rugby League first and is an exciting way for fans of all ages to get into the spirit,” he said.

“Following the closest competition in years, we want to share the excitement with as many fans as possible. It’s also our opportunity to thank the fans for their support and passion throughout the year.”

Local tourist attractions and restaurants are offering discounts to Grand Final ticketholders, NRL Nation Visitors cardholders or fans wearing an official NRL team jersey. CLICK HERE for the full list of special offers.

NRL Nation runs through until Saturday, October 3.
