While other clubs have been forced to deal with injuries affecting key personnel the Sharks came through the win over the Wests Tigers unscathed and named an unchanged line-up to take on the Eels on Saturday.

Sam Tagataese made a successful return from a week on the sidelines due to suspension, while Luke Lewis continued his impressive form after missing a couple of games recently with a knee injury.

Other than the long-term injured who are not expected to return to the field in 2015, Ben Barba remains the only NRL squad member in the casualty ward, with the utility’s recovery from an ankle strain, as explained by coach Shane Flanagan, tracking nicely.

“He likely won’t be right for this week but he should be available for Manly the week after,” Flanagan told media after training yesterday. “He is out of the boot and ran on the Alter-G treadmill today so he is coming along well.”

Should Barba be fit and ready to go for round 26 Flanagan will have some selection decisions to make, especially with the Fifita brothers set to be available for week one of the finals series.

Andrew and David both trained strongly with the main group at Remondis Stadium on Tuesday and as Flanagan said, Andrew especially as an Australian and NSW Origin representative, is set to be a big bonus once hi suspension is complete.

“He’s a real positive for us, that’s for sure and I’d rather have him than not have him,” he said.
