August 3, 2013: After debuting for the Sharks in Round 8 of 2013, Sosaia Feki did not have to wait long before returning to Auckland and to the home of many of his junior successes.

A Holden Cup (National Youth Competition) winner with the Warriors in seasons 2010 and 2011, Feki ventured to Cronulla in search of regular first grade minutes - seeing it difficult to break into a strong Warriors backline behind names like Vatuvei, Hurrell and Brown.

Ahead of the Round 21 clash at Mt Smart Stadium, as the side looked to cement their place in the top eight, Feki tells sharks.com.au that he was excited - but also nervous - about returning to Auckland to face players who were once his ex-teammates.

"It was different obviously, just the little things. Like being in the 'Away' dressing rooms, and walking down the tunnel in Cronulla colours," Feki said.

"But to be able to come back to Auckland and play in front of my friends and family knowing I had sacrificed so much when I signed with the Sharks, it was a rewarding feeling.

"They obviously had guys like Koni (Konrad Hurrell) out wide and I was playing on the same side as him.

"It was a little bit scary, and he ran over the top of me a couple of times," the 24-year-old joked. "He is such a strong runner of the ball and we all know what he can do."

In what proved a tough, tight tussle that went right down to the final siren, the Sharks prevailed 18-14 and moved closer to sealing a spot in the 2013 finals series.

Re-live the win, with highlights of the match now re-playing on Sharks TV.
