NAIDOC Artist of the Year Daren Dunn last week spoke to Sharks TV ahead of the Sharks Round 22, 'Indigenous Round' clash with the Cowboys at Remondis Stadium.

With a unique design incorporating the tales and histories of the local Indigenous communities, Dunn said he has designed this year's jersey in a manner that best represents the people of the Cronulla area.

"As an international artist and a designer, I like to do my homework too ... it’s more of a ceremonial [design], that we as aboriginal and non-aboriginal people can come together as one," he said.

“To show the NRL how much it means to us, not just to see aboriginal fellas walking out in jerseys, but to see non-aboriginal fellas walking out in jerseys – that’s what close the gap is.”

To learn more of the jersey's design and what it will mean to the players to wear the strip, watch the full interview with Dunn, now playing on Sharks TV.

The jersey is the first retail kit to feature the Club's new major commercial partners Southern Radiology and Bluestone. Sharks members and fans can purchase the jersey on pre-sale from the Sharks Store by clicking HERE.
