Two narrow wins at their past two starts has the NYC Sharks heading in the right direction ahead of their round 11 clash with local rivals St George Illawarra on Sunday.

The Sharks scored a gritty away win over the Titans two weeks ago, after knocking off the Warriors at home in round 9 the week before and after a weekend off to rest up and recuperate, they will be out to make it a hat-trick of victories when they face the Dragons at Kogarah.

Now on 10 competition points the Sharks find themselves of the cusp of a top eight berth, with a win against the last-placed Dragons imperative should they hope to continue their forward momentum.

While their opponents sit on the bottom of the NYC ladder, the Dragons found some form when they were last in action in registering a victory over the Canberra Raiders before they too had the bye last weekend.

The Sharks have announced their team to play the Dragons and interestingly three players from the successful Sharks SG Ball squad in Curtis Scott, Billy Magoulias and Daniel Vasquez have been included on an extended bench.

Kick off for the NYC match scheduled for 1.45pm at Jubilee Oval, Kogarah.
