FOX Sports presenters Matt Shirvington and Lara Pitt, the NSW Minister for Women Pru Goward, NRL Commissioner Catherine Harris and Sharks stars Paul Gallen, Wade Graham, Jeff Robson, Michael Ennis, jack Bird and Luke Lewis will be among the special guests at the Club’s Women In League Cocktail Function next week.

The event, which will feature gourmet finger food, wine, a celebrity chef cooking on site, live entertainment and a special gift for guests, will be held on Thursday, May 14, at the Harvey Norman Commercial Showroom at Taren Point.

Sharks Events Manager Jessica Goddard said the Cocktail Function will provide a great networking opportunity as well as a fun and entertaining evening of fine wine and food.

“We are really excited to be hosting a cocktail event this year and we are expecting our guests to be surprised and delighted at what is on offer as well as the setting,” said Goddard.

The Cocktail Function marks the culmination of the Club’s celebrations for women involved in the game, starting this week with Saturday’s Round 9 clash with the New Zealand Warriors dedicated to the NRL’s Women In League theme.

Match-day entertainment will feature interviews with Jillaroos Ruan Sims and Samantha Hammond and a dance spectacular involving more than 800 local dancers; as well as a post-match function at Sharkies Leagues Club.

The Sharks this week announced The Beauty Bank as a Signature Charity Partner and it will also be Saturday’s game-day charity partner.

Charity founder and Sutherland Shire resident Jen Armstrong will be a special guest on game day and at the Cocktail Function with fans and guests of both being invited to bring along unopened and unused beauty products and toiletries to donate.

The Beauty Bank provides “life’s little luxuries to those in need” – through distributing packs made up of donated products to women (and men) in refuges and shelters, in particular to victims of domestic violence.

Tickets to the Cocktail Function are on sale now for $95. To book, please contact Jessica Ciccia at [email protected] or phone 9527 8215.
