Ahead of the Sharks big Monday night clash with the Rabbitohs Ben Barba covered off on a number of issues in a media call earlier today.

Barba was asked about his knee injury and his prospects for Monday night, what his positional preference might be and even the Daly Cherry-Evans situation in relation to the possible back-flip on the Titans contract the star half back had signed around a month ago.

Barba replied when questioned that whether it was from the bench or in the starting side, he was happy to contribute in whatever way the coach thought was of most benefit to the team.

And following Barba, Coach Shane Flanagan also responded to a range of media questions, again covering off on both Sharks as well as other game-related issues.

Flanagan conceded the Sharks would miss the presence of prop Andrew Fifita on Monday night when his team tackles Souths, but at the same time was confident he had the depth to cover for his absence.

He also spoke about the emergence of Jack Bird and the contractual status of Paul Gallen, stating with assurance that he believed the Sharks skipper would be in Cronulla colours once again in 2016.
