The NYC Sharks have opened their account in style in scoring an impressive 30-12 win over the Gold Coast Titans in their round four match at Remondis Stadium.

In their most complete performance of the 2015 season, the young Sharks controlled the first half to lead 18-6 and went on with the job in the second 40, with their defensive commitment a feature of the game.

The Titans were first on the board through five eight Kane Lawton as they grabbed an early 6-0 lead but the remainder of the first half went all the Sharks way.

First it was lock Francis Laloua-Tui crashing over adjacent to the posts, before skipper Anthony Moraitis crossed wide out.

Jamayne Isaako was on target for both conversion attempts and the Sharks would go to the front 12-6.

Some dogged Sharks defense kept the Titans at bay for the rest of the half and just when it looked as though the home team would go to the break with a six point lead, halfback Connor Tracey sliced through from close range to send the Cronulla side to half time with a nice 18-6 advantage.

Again the Sharks showed an aggression and enthusiasm in the second 40 minutes somewhat missing from their first three matches and their attitude was rewarded when Josh Addo-Carr broke the Titans defensive line and streaked 80-metres stretch the Cronulla lead.

Once more Isaako added the extras and the Sharks had a match-winning lead at 24-6 in front.

Jayden Brailey then dived over from dummy half to make it 30-6 with only 10 minutes remaining, sealing the NYC Sharks first win of the 2015 season.

The Titans managed a late try but it would be too little too late as the Sharks opened their account with the impressive 30-12 victory.

The only sour note to come from the win was a late injury to Tracey, with the medical team to assess the severity of the problem during the week.
