Time ticking ahead of Sharks season opener
The start of the 2015 season is fast approaching, with the Sharks home opener against the Canberra Raiders on March 8, just around the corner.

As of writing this piece for Sharks News Today, the game was just 26 days, one hour and 38 minutes away, so if you are one of those Sharks fans eagerly anticipating the kick off to the new season, we have installed a timer to let you know just how far away the Sharks v Raiders clash might be.

Good signs for injured Sharks
In a good sign for that first round of the 2015 NRL competition, injured Sharks Jayson Bukuya and Jacob Gagan were at training this morning running in a rehab session alongside Sharks physiotherapist Efrem Bunguric.

The pair were going through their paces while their teammates took part in ball work and conditioning, with both players on track to be available on the weekend of the Sharks first game on March 8.

And in further news on the injury front, while he will be sidelined for an extended period after undergoing reconstructive surgery on his knee, Fa’amanu Brown was hard at work in the gym today, with a smile on his face and training with a positive outlook despite facing the prospect of a long recovery process.

The enforced layoff will see Brown strip bigger and stronger on his return and at just 20 years of age he certainly has a big future in the game.

Sharks to go into camp
The Sharks head off to the Central Coast next week for a training camp where Shane Flanagan and his coaching staff will begin to put the finishing touches on their preparations ahead of the start of the season proper.

While the aim of the getaway is partly to build team harmony and chemistry, there will be plenty of hard work done by the boys at the same time, with field, beach and gym sessions planned.

The camp will run from Monday night through to Thursday, with those Sharks fans on the Central Coast encouraged to stay tuned to the Sharks website for details of an open training session to be held during the course of the week.

Sharks in the news
While at All Stars Ben Barba has been attracting a good deal of attention. In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald the Sharks new recruit spoke about his so-called feud with Broncos coach Wayne Bennett and his aspirations for the 2015 season.
