And for double points – how many games?

Holmes in young Queensland squad
Sharks fullback/winger Valentine Holmes has been selected in the Queensland State of Origin Emerging Squad.

Holmes will attend the Queensland Academy of Sport for a camp from January 9-11 with other young players hopeful of developing into Queensland Origin players in the future.

Originally from Townsville, Holmes was a member of the Junior Kangaroos team which went down to the Kiwis in a one-off Test during the summer, while he got a taste of the NRL, breaking into the top grade late last season.

In a further positive development and pointer towards the Sharks future prospects, young prop Justin Timu, a member of the Sharks SG Ball squad, made an extended Queensland Under 18’s Squad. He will go into a similar camp the week after the Emerging squad camp.
