In their quest to be the best prepared NRL squad come season kick off in March and in a bid to maintain those fitness standards throughout the year, the Sharks have entered into a new partnership with HART Sport, a company recognised for its quality training and coaching equipment.
The arrangement with HART Sport has already been in evidence at early gym and field sessions, with the Sharks putting the new equipment to work in the opening week of pre-season training.
The Sharks newly appointed NRL Physical Performance Manager Andrew Gray was enthusiastic about the introduction of the HART Sport equipment and looked forward to making it a part of the NRL squads’ daily training routines.
“HART Sport are the ‘leaders in the field’ when it comes to producers of quality training equipment and coaching aids,” Gray said. “The Cronulla Sharks are thrilled to be entering into a new partnership with HART Sport ahead of the 2015 season.
“They provide a range of specialised products which will certainly go a long way towards getting our playing group in peak condition and help us to maintain their fitness and health throughout the year.”
Hamish Maclean from HART Sport explained that his company was embracing the partnership with the Sharks, who will utilise a wide range of HART equipment both in their summer preparations and once the season proper gets underway in March.
“HART Sport is delighted to be partnering with the Cronulla Sharks in season 2015 and in helping them prepare with all the right football and fitness equipment,” Maclean said. “The opportunity arose when renowned S and C professional Andrew Gray moved to the club and it was a great opportunity for the company to connect with not only the Sharks but with all of the junior sporting clubs in the Cronulla area.”
Amongst the products the Sharks will use as a part of their warm up, training and recovery will include speed sleds, hit shields, medicine balls, agility poles, hurdles, tubing and stretch bands, foam rollers and plyometric equipment.
