Pre-season training is well and truly underway for the Sharks, with the players doing it tough under the instruction of returning coach Shane Flanagan and his coaching staff.

Ben Barba arrived for his first day on the job today, running through his paces with the likes of Andrew Fifita, Chris Heighington, Jeff Robson and new boys Jack Bird, Sami Sauiluma, Saul Houma and Todd Murphy, with the team getting through a series of speed, conditioning and ball work drills.

Training continues with another session tomorrow and in an effort to take the Sharks out into the local community, coach Shane Flanagan has arranged to train the team at The Ridge Sporting Complex at Barden Ridge near Menai, with the session open to Sharks fans.

Come along and see Barba in action, meet and say hello to some of your favourite players, while watching what goes into a training session at this point of the teams' pre season preparations.

Training begins at The Ridge (the top field before driving past the athletic track and golf course driving range) from 9.00am tomorrow (Friday morning) and will run for around two hours.

If you can't get there tomorrow, more open sessions at a variety of Shire venues are also being planned throughout the pre-season, with details and more notice to be made available on the Sharks website.

Come and see the Sharks in action at The Ridge tomorrow.
