A dubious refereeing call in the dying minutes may have cost the NYC Sharks a victory against the Panthers however a committed performance up in Bathurst will have the young Cronulla positive about their chances when they face the Eels this weekend.
Narrow 38-34 losers in a match played at Parramatta Stadium the last time the two teams met, the Sharks will be intent on taking down one of the more highly rated teams in the under 20’s competition.
In the Panthers match until, a forward pass ruling five minutes from time denied them a victory, the Sharks went down by just four points to the Penrith side.
After what was a strong showing, predictably the Sharks have named a team similar to the one which played in Bathurst, with the return of Jake Goodwin after a week playing for the NSW Cup Sharks, the only change to the line-up.
The NYC match between the Sharks and Eels is scheduled for a 12.40pm kickoff at Remondis Stadium on Saturday.
