Decimated by injury in recent matches, the Sharks will this weekend field a team with six personnel changes and a couple of positional switches from the outfit which played the Dragons in their last game two weeks ago.

The Sharks welcome back a number of their stars for the clash with Manly, with Todd Carney, Jeff Robson and Anthony Tupou amongst those set to return, while Michael Gordon shifts from the centres onto the wing to accommodate an in-form Nathan Gardner at fullback.

Jonathan Wright and Sosaia Feki have overcome leg injuries and take their places in the Sharks backline.

Coach Peter Sharp has also named Paul Gallen and Luke Lewis pending the pair coming through Wednesday nights’ State of Origin match unscathed, while after a promising debut in Wollongong a fortnight ago, Fa’amanu Brown has retained a place in the Sharks NRL squad on the interchange bench.

Michael Lichaa has been selected in the starting side at hooker in place of the injured John Morris.

In a continuation of his wretched year, Andrew Fifita has his wrist in a cast and has been ruled out for a period of up to six weeks after a training accident. Siosaia Vave, who has done a solid job in the absence of Fifita, will start in the front row against the Sea Eagles.

The NRL match between the Sharks and Sea Eagles, which will be played for the Steve Rogers trophy, is set down for a 7.30pm kickoff at Remondis Stadium.
