Showing that anything can be achieved if the dedication and drive is there to support the goal, Sharks star John Morris graduated from the University of Sydney last Friday with a Masters degree in Education - Coaching.
Morris, who has already completed a Bachelor of Teaching/PDHPE degree and a Certificate IV in Personal Training, attended the graduation ceremony at the University last Friday.
The course involved two years of study, when combined with Morris’s commitments as a father of two young boys, not to mention those as a full-time professional rugby league player, completing the masters degree required time management and plenty of dedication.
Still an integral part of the Sharks NRL team, having played his 100th Sharks top grade game last week while at the same time approaching his 300th NRL match, Morris undertook the course of study in an effort to keep his options open for what lies ahead post his football career.
“It will help me stay involved in the game at the highest level,” Morris told Sharks TV. “I have an interest in coaching and a passion for footy.”
Sharks TV was on hand at the graduation ceremony at Sydney University, captured the moment when he accepted his degree from the Vice Chancellor and spoke with Morris shortly after.
