The Cataract Scout Camp was the venue for a Sharks Under 20’s camp recently when all 38 players plus staff were put through a 24-hour training camp with a difference.
Included amongst the activities was some night caving, a rigorous challenge course, stretching, meditation and mental skills training as well as other various group bonding sessions.
The boys capably handled all that was thrown at them and staff report that all returned home safely following the expedition and that nobody was lost in the scrub around the Cataract camp site.
The Sharks 20’s squad, which includes four players currently training with the full time NRL group, continued their pre-season preparations with a trial match against Souths on Saturday.
Like their NRL counterparts the Sharks Holden Cup team start their season with a match against the Gold Coast Titans at Sharks Stadium on March 10.
