The 14's performed strongly while the 15's were outclassed but far from embarassed despite being beaten when the two Sharks Summer Academy teams were matched with Western Suburbs and South West Sydney Academy (SWAS) on Tuesday evening in trial games played on the back fields at Sharks Stadium.
The 14's asserted an early dominace, scoring five tries to one in the first half before eventually running out seven tries to four winners in what was an encouraging result for young the Sharks boys.
In the 15's match the Sharks found the going a little tougher, with Wests and SWAS outplaying them on the night. Despite going down however a number of strong performances were handed in by the Sharks 15's on the night.
The Sharks Summer Academy is made up exclusively of players from within the local Cronulla-Sutherland Junior league.
Next up for the Sharks Summer Academy will be the 17's who are scheduled to play Western Suburbs at the Sharks Stadium fields on Friday. Kickoff will be at 6.00pm.
