Sharks Tamworth trial tickets selling fast

Sharks fans looking to make the drive up the New England Highway from Sydney or those who live in the north of NSW wanting to take advantage of the fact that the Sharks will be playing in their ‘backyard’ should act now with tickets selling quickly for the February 23 trial against the Knights.

In a match which is likely to see all the Sharks stars take to the field in the teams last hit out before the start of the season proper, the likes of skipper Paul Gallen, NSW origin teammate Luke Lewis and new recruits Beau Ryan, Chris Heighington, Michael Gordon and Jonathan Wright will be on show in what promises to be an exciting pre-season clash.

The trial also looms as the final opportunity for players to impress coach Shane Flanagan and to cement a starting spot for the Sharks first NRL Telstra Premiership match on March 10.

Likewise the Knights will be keen to make an impression on their coach Wayne Bennett with the official kickoff to the season less than two weeks after the Tamworth trial.

The Sharks v Knights trial, which is presented by Tamworth Regional Council and is supported by Wests, 2TM/92.9, NBN Television and the Northern Daily Leader, is scheduled for Saturday, February 23 at Skully Park.
