Members, sponsors and fans will have the chance to see Australian representative, Paul Gallen, return to the field this weekend in the Hisense Sharks second trial game.

Gallen, who had off-season surgery on his shoulder just 10 weeks ago, will run out for the black, white and blue against the Wests Tigers at Bluetongue Stadium this Saturday 27th February at 5.15pm.

After revealing earlier in the week that he defied doctors orders to play on with a crook shoulder last season, the former Sharks captain is looking to get some game time under his belt against the Tigers to make for a fresh start in 2010.

"The shoulder is feeling good and the boys are really looking fresh," Gallen said.

"It will be great getting back out onto the field and being the best player I can be for Cronulla.I guess I've been pretty lucky throughout my career with injuries, my shoulder has really only been the problem."

"Trials haven't been so kind to me in the past but generally throughout my career I have been injury free so hopefully 2010 will be a good year."

Gallen, who was at Cronulla Leagues Club to help announce the club's new major sponsor, Hisense Australia, will be used in the back row and at lock alongside Anthony Tupou, Grant Millington, Reece Williams, Adam Cuthbertson and Jayson Bukuya.

Along with new recruit Taulima Tautai, former Penrith Panthers rake, Paul Aiton, will make his first appearance under coach Ricky Stuart, while Scott Porter returns from a minor pre season knee injury.

Following the Sharks game, the Eels and Roosters will take to the park as a part of the NRL’s double header. This will be the last hit-out for all teams in the lead up to round one!
